College Bound

At Lincoln, college and career readiness is a priority.  We are college bound because Lions understand that preparing for the future leads to many benefits and opportunities. To achieve our goals, teachers, students, and the community carry high expectations for academic success.  We maintain a growth mindset, knowing that learning is a journey and mistakes are part of the process.  We work hard with determination and enthusiasm, while promoting mutual respect and integrity to foster a positive school climate. According to greatschools.org there are five big reasons to go to college.  According to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, people who graduate from college make a lot more money.  College graduates have more choice and opportunity in the workforce.  Important connections can be made in college that both help find employment later, and create a lifelong network of support.  The Pew Research Center found that college graduates live healthier and are perhaps even happier.  Finally, when students attend college they begin a tradition that often leads to future generations also attending college.  So attending college not only helps you, but makes the future brighter too!
