Principal's Message

Lincoln Families,
First and foremost, I want to express my deepest concern for all the families that have been impacted during this unprecedented time.  For the past few weeks the world has experienced an unexpected phenomenon that has shifted the way we operate in our daily lives. This new normal has forced everyone to re-think how to function; this includes educators.  I am proud to say that the awesome teachers at Lincoln, are actively working through the challenges and are committed to providing distance learning opportunities for students. Weekly learning tasks will help students learn the essential skills needed for the next grade level. Although, the physical building is closed for the remainder of the year, Lincoln students are still expected to participate in learning activities each day.  It is crucial that students do not fall behind during this time.
I understand that adjusting to the distance learning model may be difficult, but you are not alone. Our personal and professional goal is to continue our commitment to providing students the best education possible. Through partnerships with parents, students can continue to achieve.
The best way parents can support our efforts is to remind students that they are not on vacation and that school is not closed for the summer.  Instead, we have shifted to a distance learning model in which students are expected to participate in learning through virtual classroom sessions (grades 3-5), completing pages in the work packets, reading for at least 30 minutes, and working on ST math.
Now is the time that our home-school partnership is most important. The staff and I are here to help families through this transition.  We have revamped our school website to provide ongoing support to families through the use of tutorial videos, coaches’ corner and counselor’s newsletter. I have attached a link of general questions and answers you may have at this time.  If you have additional questions, please email me at
Please remember that learning is forever and although the world has changed, our commitment to excellence has not.  We will get through this together because WE ARE LINCOLN!
Take care,
Dr. Topekia Jones

Parent Resources

Parents play the most important role in a student’s positive development.  They are a child’s first teacher and can continue to offer guidance and support throughout the years of growing up.  Lincoln School acknowledges how crucial parent involvement is to student success and we encourage active participation.

Dr. Seuss Read Day!

Dr. Seuss Read Day! Featured Photo
Dr. Seuss Read Day was a success! We started our morning with guest readers visiting our campus and sharing their love of reading with each and every classroom here at Lincoln. Not only did the students love having guest readers, the guest readers loved coming and reading to our Lincoln Lions. We ended our day with our Lincoln families joining us on the field to share their passion for reading under the sun. We really appreciate all of our families and guest readers who came to support Lincoln School in showing students that reading can be fun!
